Going Home :)

Our Darling Everett is going home today:) A very happy day  for Lavinia, myself and hubby:)

New Things

Bought a new cot for Everett and a new camera for Lavinia. Hope they will both appreciate what we do for them when they grow up. Of course hubby and I do not expect them to take care of us when we are old but it will be nice to know that our kids love us even when we are old:)

New Things

Everett is born on 21st April 2010 at 2.29p.m. Weight: 1.38kg Length: 42cm

Daddy, Mummy and Lavinia love you very much. Hope that you can come home soon from NICU.

A Baby On the Way:)

On Tuesday, I went to KKH with my hubby and daughter for my 5th month scan to find out the sex of our baby. Its a boy:)

Well, since I have a daughter already, it seems only fair to have a boy to complete the family:) However, there were still some concerns. Even though the last 2 categories of the blood test that I had taken last month was fine, the doc still wanted me to take the amnio. However, this time round, its a firm "No" from hubby and me even though the 1st category of the blood test was still 50 per cent unsure.

We went to see another male doc today as our usual female doc stattioned at The Private Suite had something urgent to attend to. Went to one of the clinics to see the doc. Waited almost an hour and a half just to see the doc!

Hubby and I did the financial calculation and for about $10 more, you can see a doc at The Private Suite and within 1 hour, you can leave the clinic already so I guess its more worth it at The Private Suite:)

Scary Thoughts

As 2nd Feb 2010 draws nearer for my detailed scan at KKH, I grow more and more afraid. That was because about a month ago, I was told that my blood had some abnormalities. But, hubby and I decided not to go for the amnio test.

I really hope that we have made the right decision. Lavinia seems happier in school knowing that she is going to have a younger sister or brother soon. To think that in the past, I wanted my baby to be girls only because I preferred girls.

Now, I am just hoping that my baby is normal and healthy. Last month, my brother-in-law advised me to go for the amnio but hubby says no. My hubby is the super positive type. Hope that his positiveness will work out this time.

In this r2, I am the one that worries the most whereas hubby is so unlike me. Happy and Positive all the time:) Really cannot stand him sometimes:)

Last Day

Today is the last day of service for one of Lavinia's favourite teachers, Mrs Chia. Lavinia loves her a lot and always comes home with stories of how fierce she is to naughty kids and also how kind she is to others.

Lavinia and I still hope that she will come back to teaching one day. Thanks Mrs Chia for your guidance and love towards Lavinia and take care:) Btw hope that you like the marble cake and that everytime you pass a confectionary, you will think of the girl that you nicknamed "Cake Girl":)

Prayers in Difficult Times

Today I am going to Kuan Yin Temple at Waterloo Street to pray for my 2nd pregnancy. In today's times, its difficult to be pregnant after 35 years of age. U will have to go for counselling by staff at the hospital before going for a blood test.

I went for the blood test and the results came back. More counselling was given and then after I did not budge and go for the Amniocentesis Testing, my gynae talked to me again.

The reason I had to go for the Amnio was because my blood showed abnormalities. My hubby and I discussed it and realised that after 6 years of waiting and finally being pregnant now, we will accept the consequences whatever they may be and so refused to go for the test again.

I told the doc that moreover, there was a risk of miscarriage if I went for the test and we were not prepared to take the risk.

When I was young and my family was going through very difficult times, my mum said that she went to this temple and her prayers were answered.

So here we are, hubby and me going to this temple to pray and my hubby for the 1st time in his atheist (one who does not believe in any God) life, going to pray is a Huge Milestone for him indeed:)

My 1st Day of the New Year 2010

I know for most people the 1st day of the New Year is on 1st January 2010. But for me, its today, a Wednesday. For the past few months, I have been feeling lousy and did not want to update my blog. Unhappy events have taken place, topped up with laziness perhaps and also tiredness. I have this thing about putting unhappy events on my blog cos I am afraid that Lavinia will read about them when she is older. Anyone has any comments on this?

But today, I woke up feeling better, not all better but slightly better. On Christmas Day 2009, Santa Claus came out from the storeroom and surprised my daughter! We all know who Santa Claus is right? I think Lavinia is starting to suspect something:)

Anyway, back to today, she is going to K2 for her 1st day back to school. She did not go to school on Monday as hubby had 2 teeth implants and Tuesday too as we were baking her favourite marble cake for her to bring to school today.

Btw, I am about 4 months pregnant, having all the morning, afternoon, evening and night sickness. I have never seen the toilet bowl so closely. Hee....hee.... 

Happiness In Baking:)

Lavinia has been baking with me and hubby for the past few weeks. And she LOVES it!!!

I cant wait to attend some workshops with her. She especially loves the different-shaped cookies that we did together the other time:)

Accident!!!

ARRRGGGHHH!!! I never read properly! Accidentally deleted two photos from my Picasa album without realising that they are related to my blog!

Readers who do not know how to do 2 of the pregnancy exercises that has no photos there, do contact me and I will send you the photos asap:) Of course, in the new photos, I will not be pregnant then..heee....hee....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

To All my Readers: A very Happy New Year to you and your loved ones!

Dear Avid Readers :)

Thanks for hanging in there with me. These few days, mother-in-law staying with me. I had to wake up very early about 7a.m. which I am not used to. She is very stressed over her new house.

She used to stay at a Jumbo unit at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 3 which is at Central. She shifted late last year to her new house also at Ang Mo Kio but at Avenue 10. She is not happy there because the couple downstairs keeps on cooking throughout the whole day.

The neighbours all around her according to her makes a lot of noise. Basically, she is not happy. Anyway, from this week onwards, she will be coming over on Saturday nights and going back on Sunday nights. In future weeks, she will be coming over on Friday afternoons and going back on Sunday nights.

This Saturday, 22nd March, Lavinia will be 4 years old. My hubby and I cant wait to celebrate with her. We are trying for a 2nd one. Hope all goes well.

By the way, any of you know of anyone selling their top floor, corner unit in Punggol, 4 or 5 room, let me know. I might want to purchase it. Thanks!

Meanwhile, I will keep you posted on the happenings in my life and let me know how your life is going. Ok?
