Q: How do I monitor my baby's progress through the months?

The 40 weeks of pregnancy are divided into 3 trimesters.

The 1st Trimester:-

From conception, by the 12th week of pregnancy, the cell will become a baby with all her body systems functioning by this week.

From about 20 weeks, most mothers can feel the baby's movements quite clearly.

For high-risk mothers eg. diabetes, do take note of how long it takes for your baby to make 10 movements. If during 12 hours, the baby makes less than 10 movements, do see your doctor immediately.

The 2nd Trimester:-

Your baby's senses are forming so by this trimester, she can feel, hear and blink.

The 3rd Trimester:-

Your baby puts on weight, makes rapid kicking and arm movements which you can feel. An exciting period for you!
