One will experience most weight gain between 24 to 32 weeks. Try to take smaller meals with greater frequencies e.g. take five small meals instead of 3 full meals.
Taking smaller meals will lead to the food being easily digested.
Just an example of how your weight gain is distributed:-
1) Expectant mother's Body Fat - 2kg
2) Blood - 2kg
3) Breasts - 1kg
4) Womb - 1kg
5) Amniotic fluid - 1kg
6) Placenta - 1kg
7) Baby - 3kg
Total - 11kg
